Who, What and Where
Formed in 2019 as a “volunteer-management” arm of Beto O’Rourke’s presidential campaign, Envoys worked under Campaign Manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon’s leadership. When Beto suspended his campaign and Jen went on to be Campaign Manager and ultimately Deputy Chief of Staff for President Biden; Envoys For Beto embraced a broader mission and became Envoys For Humanity. As such, Envoys For Humanity began fighting voter suppression in concert with partners like Register2Vote, JOLT, Blue Squad, Civitech, Women Of Color Coalition and Ohio Voter Project. By reaching out to register and mobilize purged voters and likely Democrat voters in Texas, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia, we made a real impact in 2020.
Our postcarding project has already reached around 200K Democrat-likely voters, while providing volunteers with one of many meaningful, uplifting and accessible ways to get involved and stay involved.
Furthermore, to keep us all more involved with political activism, we specialize in connecting volunteers with each other. The resulting friendships and community support is another key component in both initiating and sustaining the political activism needed to advance democracy.
